wow
June 13th, 2008Can anybody say you better be careful what you wish for? Because I didn’t know I was due up for a wish to come true. I was just laid off. I guess that’s the way to put it. After nearly 3 years of service to this job… I was relieved of my duties as a graphic designer at this arts craft wholesale trade show company.
Now, I certainly am fine with this in the basic sense of it. I have been peeking at job listings for a while but never made the ambitious leap into applying myself into firmly looking. And now I get that chance. I have not a lot of time to find a new job, in order to afford life. Because frankly, this comic isn’t making me a dang cent.
So wish me luck.

Dude, trust me. This could be the best thing that ever happened to you. Also, I quit my craptastic job today, so we are twins. However, you will be receiving unemployment (unENJOYment), and I’m applying for dog sitting jobs on Craigslist. Yay!
But this could also mean I might be randomly showing up in Baltimore sometime soon, though with gas being $4.50 a gallon, don’t keep your fingers crossed.
Oh yeah–aren’t we supposed to go to Coney Island?

we are supposed to go to coney island. but gas is 4.50 a gallon. so i think its down to if i can afford it, because living fat off of the government is not exactly fully possible…
we are marvelous twins of no jobdom. if i could live off of it, i think i would enjoy sitting on animals. er, dog sitting. you know what it’s about. i cat sit alllllll of the time for chris and some other friends you dont know (from my old job).
But I do see this as a good thing. I hated that old job and i spent 90% of my time complaining about how crappy it was. it did me a favor laying me off. at least i can get unemployment. you know? makes getting the next job not as stressful.
Oh and now im on a summer vaaaaaacation! <3
