Positive.
Well well well, what do we have here? I am still feeling pretty good, hence another Thursday update!
I was going over the outline for this comic (which really right now it’s a ton of loosely written out scenes on post it notes) and I have decided this comic can best be described as an awkward dramatic comedy… Since I have such a normal occurrence of awkwardness in my life…
I am not writing my life, but I am writing from my own life experiences… And most of them are pretty awkward. How is the story going in the opinion of my readers? Like what you’re reading/seeing?
Another thing: Whoops!

I dripped a HUGE drop of ink onto my page in the middle of inking! AND OH THANK HEAVEN! It dropped not on anything important.
and if you wonder, I pencil first, ink second. (but I do bubbles and borders before inking the rest…) See?

I then take the file into Photoshop, and fill in the text real quick … and then digitally screen tone for the final look. I might do a proper update on how I actually do an update via my LJ sometime next week for the next page, I guess?
Until next Tuesday!

I used to ink my comics using Rapidograph pens. But one too many ink droplets plus the very concept of an Undo feature made me switch away from them and move to pencils. My collection of mechanical pencils with 2B lead creates lines just as dark as ink, but they can be erased. I haven’t looked back. In fact, I’ll bet you can’t tell when I went from ink to pencil in my comics.

Indeed I am! I love reading and writing Realist tales. There needs to be more comics like ours on the internet!

I recall you telling me how you use pencil instead of ink now… and that works for you. I’m such a sketcher that I need to have a final solid line…

What is life without awkward encounters? Not fun.
